Success Is Not Someday...It’s TODAY.

There I was: lying in a hospital bed in an ER having just had—yet again—another grand mal seizure episode, desperately thinking “WHY ME?!”

But this time, it was different.

Just 6 weeks prior my life had changed forever…I had given birth to Jackson, my beautiful son.  I had been waiting my entire life to be a mother and to meet my child.

Yet there I was; in the hospital, again. A six-figure earning, stock option holding, young executive and leader of global teams + large revenues who ‘had it all’. I bought the house, the car and paid for the vacations. I was exactly where I had worked so hard to get to… or so I thought.

What was so wrong?!?

That was my final wake-up call. Something had to change.

One of my biggest mistakes in the past as a visionary and as an achiever was thinking that success was someday not TODAY.

Does any of this sound familiar?
I will be successful when I have $500,000 saved.
I will be successful when I’m a millionaire.
I will be happy when I don’t have to work a day in my life.
I will be happy when I land the big deal.
I will love my body when I lose the last 10 pounds.
I will love my life when I have more time.
I will love my life when I can be location independent and travel whenever I want.
I will feel successful when I have enough money to give back.

Successful leaders have become successful not because of a perfect plan, but because of their mindset.

The challenge with chasing success and not mastering your mindset is that it places success too far out of reach. It places success in the future, not in today. The reality is, the future is ALWAYS based on what you do today.

“Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day.” – Jim Rohn

After my wake-up call it was time to change my mindset; because although I had been successful on paper, I wanted and needed a new set of results for my life. I wanted to define success in a new way and start living more NOW - not in 10 years.

Step #1: I changed my mindset to be more about the now.

“Success is based on what I do today. What activities should I be doing today that can bring me the kind of income, lifestyle, health and results I want tomorrow, 3 months from now, or a year from now?”

You can create anything you want and you will have to change your life to do it. And that change is one simple step away – your mindset.

In order to step into your next level of leadership, to claim the success you truly desire for your life, what activities do you need to be focused on doing today that can bring you the kind of income, lifestyle, health and results you want tomorrow, 3 months from now, or a year from now?

I want to hear from you.
